Autumn Glow
Eleven wins from twelve starts, and a page that read like it.
What the pedigree page says
Every signal the engine could read on this horse's page, and what each one did to the score. Scoring starts at a neutral 60 and moves only on what can be verified.
Sire, dam and family
On the racecourse, and in the ring
None of the below is used in the score. It is here so you can see the page and the horse side by side, which is the entire point of this exercise.
Her card is the one case where a database would have misled us. Breednet lists Via Africa as unraced, because its Australian records do not carry South African form. She is in fact a three-time Group One winner. Reading the dam correctly is most of the difference between a middling score and this one.
The score reads this horse's pedigree page as it stands today and nothing else. It is a score for the page, not a rating of the racehorse, and it is not a claim we picked them as yearlings. A horse's own black type is never counted in its own family. Prize money and prices are converted to US dollars at recent rates. Back to all eight
